Solo Exhibition by Telemachos Outsios entitled “Sirens” at the former Ursuline School of Naxos from 12 to 19 August 2025 Creatures of ancient Greek mythology depicted with a female head and the body of a bird of prey. They were often associated with seduction, love, but also death, as with their enchanting song they led sailors to their doom. In this exhibition, Telemachus Outsios reinterprets the Sirens archetype through a series of works that use translucent fabric and acrylics as their main materials. Through the airy nature of the fabric and the intensity of the colors, the Sirens acquire a contemporary dimension, underlining their timeless power to charm and provoke reflection on the boundaries between beauty and danger.
