Photometria Awards 2023: Photography Exhibition entitled “Emerging Roots”, in the foyer of the Town Hall, from 10 to 30 September An exhibition of the 25 best photographs of the Photometria Awards competition on the theme “Emerging Roots” selected by the great Magnum photographer, Martin Parr of the International Photometria Festival 2023, in Naxos. The study of portraiture is a fundamental practice in the visual arts, which goes beyond the simple representation of the human form. It is a thorough and systematic exploration of the physiognomic features, proportions, expressions and psychological dimension of the person depicted. This solo exhibition offers a unique perspective on the study of portraiture, through a small collection of works by the artist Anna Chernenko, created using the gelatin printmaking technique.
