Talk “In the Depths of Serifos” with Alexandra Christakaki Testimonies of the last surviving workers from the mines of Serifos The book brings together testimonies from the last surviving workers of the Serifos mines and their descendants, preserving a world at risk of disappearing: working conditions, vocabulary, struggles and the everyday experiences of people who worked the land. Through audio excerpts, photographs and archival documents, the presentation connects collective memory with the contemporary need to preserve stories that remain hidden.
